BOU SSC Result 2026 Published, Pass Rate Stands at 63.74%

Bangladesh Open University has published the BOU SSC Result 2026 for 1st and 2nd Year Exams. The results came out at 12:30 pm on Thursday, August 27, with a pass rate of 63.74 percent.

A total of 30,816 students took the first- and second-year exams this year. Of them, 12,024 students took the final exam, and 7,664 passed. Of the students who passed, 4,725 were male and 2,939 were female. BOU Controller of Exams (Acting) Md. Habibullah Mahamud gave the data in a notice.

The result event was shown live on BOU’s Facebook page. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan also spoke at the event.

He said BOU is the second-largest public university in Bangladesh. He said the university gives people outside the main education system a second chance to study.

The Vice-Chancellor also said BOU is working to make exams fair, modern and free from copying. He said the SSC results were released on time after 49 working days. He said the 49-day process was a key step in cutting past delays in result release. He also praised the students who passed the exam.

For students who did not pass, he said they should not lose hope. He urged them to keep studying and sit for the exam again.

BOU plans to add more digital tools to its exam system from the next exam. The plan includes full automation, QR code ID cards and photo admit cards.

The plan also includes e-attendance for students. These changes are aimed at making the exam process faster and easier.

The Vice-Chancellor thanked teachers, examiners and exam groups for their work. He also thanked BOU centres, the Exam Division, ICT Division and media staff.

He asked for support to help BOU grow as a place for humane and quality education. The next exams are expected to use the planned digital tools.
