1.14 Million Pass SSC 2026 Exam, but 148,000 Yet to Apply for Xi Class

A total of 1,143,462 students passed the SSC and equivalent examinations this year. Of them, 995,230 have applied for admission to Class 11 in Science, Humanities and Business Studies.

This leaves 148,232 successful students who have not yet joined the admission process. The figures have raised questions about what these students plan to do next.

People involved in the admission process said the numbers do not mean that all of these students have stopped studying. Some may be planning to enter technical or madrasa education.
