Admission tests at several major public universities will begin in December, with others scheduled for January and February 2027.

7 Universities Announce Admission Test Date for 2026-2027

Preparations have started at several public universities for the 2026–27 academic year admission process. So far, seven universities have announced admission test dates, including the University of Dhaka, Rajshahi University, Jagannath University, Chittagong University, Khulna University, KUET and MIST.

The admission tests at the University of Dhaka, Khulna University and MIST are scheduled for December 2026. Tests at Rajshahi University, Jagannath University, Chittagong University and Khulna University of Engineering & Technology will take place in January and February 2027.

Dhaka University Admission Test 2026-2027

The admission tests at the University of Dhaka will begin on December 5. The IBA Unit test will be held on that day.

The ‘A’ Unit test will follow on December 12. The ‘B’ Unit, Fine Arts Unit and ‘C’ Unit tests are scheduled for December 19, December 22 and December 26, respectively.

Online applications for the University of Dhaka admission tests can be submitted from November 11 to 25.

Rajshahi University

Rajshahi University will begin its 2026–27 admission tests on January 8, 2027. The ‘B’ Unit test for Business Studies will be held first.

The ‘C’ Unit test for Science will take place on January 9. The ‘A’ Unit test for Humanities is scheduled for January 16.

Preliminary applications will be accepted from November 12 to 27. The tests will be held in seven divisional cities to reduce travel problems for candidates.

The cities are Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Chittagong, Sylhet and Mymensingh.

Jagannath University

Jagannath University will begin its admission tests on January 1, 2027. The ‘A’ Unit test will be held on the opening day.

The ‘E’ Unit, ‘B’ Unit, ‘C’ Unit and ‘D’ Unit tests will follow on January 8, January 15, January 22 and January 23.

Applications will open at 12:00 noon on November 15. Students can submit applications until 11:59 pm on December 10.

Chittagong University

Chittagong University will begin its admission tests on January 29, 2027. The ‘C’ Unit test will be held on that day.

The ‘A’ Unit test is scheduled for January 30. The ‘B1’ and ‘B2’ Unit tests will take place on February 3 and 4. The ‘B’ Unit test will be held on February 5.

The ‘D’ Unit test is scheduled for February 6. The ‘D1’ Sub-Unit test will be held on February 8.

The ‘B1’, ‘B2’ and ‘D1’ Sub-Unit tests will be held at the Chittagong University campus. Other unit tests will be held at Chittagong University, Rajshahi University and the University of Dhaka.

Online applications for Chittagong University will be accepted from November 15 to December 10.

Khulna University

Khulna University has scheduled its admission tests for December 17 and 18. The ‘C’ and ‘D’ Unit tests are set for December 17.

The ‘A’ and ‘B’ Unit tests are scheduled for December 18. However, these dates have not yet been confirmed through the final admission notice.

The university has advised prospective students to follow the final admission notice and official notifications. Candidates should check those notices for any changes to the schedule.

KUET

Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) will hold its first-year undergraduate admission test on January 8, 2027.

The university will conduct the test at the same time in three divisional cities. The cities are Khulna, Dhaka and Rajshahi.

Military Institute of Science and Technology

The Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) will hold its admission tests on December 18 and 19.

The ‘C’ Unit test is scheduled for December 18. The ‘A’ and ‘B’ Unit tests will be held on December 19, 2026.

The announced dates give admission seekers an early view of the 2026–27 university admission season. Students can use the schedules to plan their applications and preparation.

However, admission dates and application details should be checked against the final notices issued by the respective universities. Any schedule that has not received final confirmation may change.

Students should therefore follow the official admission notices and updates from their respective universities before submitting applications.
