MPO Teachers Transfer Results Delayed: Here’s Why

The transfer results of MPO-listed teachers at private schools and colleges have been delayed. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) said some issues must be cleared first.

The transfer application process ended on September 13, 2026. The results have not been issued nine days after the deadline. DSHE has not given a clear date for the release of the results.

One reason for the delay is that many teachers want to cancel their transfer forms, DSHE said. A decision from the Education Minister is needed on this issue. But the matter has not yet been placed before the minister.

There is another issue linked to 195 candidates from the sixth and seventh mass recruitment notices. DSHE said they were first picked for jobs against wrong vacancies. They have since been replaced.

Some teachers had also sought transfers to the posts linked to those cases. Their transfer requests now need to be checked and settled. DSHE said the minister’s instructions are needed here as well.

The agency said the transfer results cannot be issued until these issues are settled. This has left many teachers waiting for news about their transfer requests.

DSHE Director General Professor Dr Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel spoke to the media about the delay. He said there are several issues linked to the teacher transfer process.

“There are several complexities regarding the transfer of teachers,” he said. “Instructions from the Education Minister are required to resolve these issues.”

He said the issues would be placed before the minister very soon. The transfer results will be issued after the needed instructions are received, he said.

According to DSHE data, 13,678 transfer forms were filed during the set time. This number does not show the exact number of teachers who applied.

Each teacher was allowed to file more than one form. For this reason, the actual number of teachers who applied is not yet known.

The delay is important for teachers who are waiting to know if their transfer requests have been accepted. They will have to wait until DSHE settles the pending cases.

The next step is to place the issues before the Education Minister. DSHE said it will issue the transfer results after it gets the needed instructions and clears the related cases.
