National Tafsir Competition Written Test on October 10
The Islamic Foundation says 2,580 contestants from eight divisions have registered for the first stage.
The written examination of the National Tafsir Competition will be held at 10:00 am on October 10 in eight divisional cities across Bangladesh.
The Islamic Foundation disclosed the information in a press release sent by its Public Relations Division on Thursday, October 1.
First National Tafsir Competition
The Islamic Foundation said the competition is being organised for the first time in the country. It said the event is part of implementing the current government’s election manifesto.
A total of 2,580 contestants have registered from the country’s eight divisions. The foundation said there is strong interest among participants over the competition.
Contestants By Division
Dhaka Division has the highest number of registered contestants, with 910 participants. Chattogram has 543 contestants, while Rajshahi has 296.
Sylhet has 250 registered contestants. Mymensingh has 187, Khulna has 179, Rangpur has 167, and Barishal has 148 contestants.
Exam Centres And Rules
The written examination will be held at the same time in all eight divisional cities. The Islamic Foundation said an identical question paper will be used.
In Dhaka, the exam will be held at Madinatul Ulum Model Institute Kamil Madrasa, also known as Mission Madrasa. In Chattogram, it will be held at Nesararia Kamil (MA) Madrasa at AK Khan Mor.
In Khulna, the centre will be Khulna Metropolitan District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center. In Rajshahi, the exam will be held at Madinatul Ulum Kamil Madrasa.
In Sylhet, the exam will take place at the Islamic Foundation’s Divisional Office and Imam Training Academy. Other centres are Kashipur High School and College in Barishal, District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center in Rangpur, and Nasirabad University College in Mymensingh.
The written test will carry 50 marks and will last for one hour. It will include one-word answers, short-answer questions, and brief analytical questions.
Candidates have been told to bring a pen. They must reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the test begins.
National Tafsir Results And Next Stage
The results of the written examination will be published on the same day. They will be available on the Islamic Foundation’s website, Facebook page, and notice boards of the divisional offices.
Only contestants who pass the written examination will be able to take part in the oral examination in the next stage.
Prize Money
The Islamic Foundation said Tk 16.20 lakh in cash prizes will be given at the national and divisional levels. Winners will also receive crests and certificates.
Of the total amount, Tk 9 lakh will be awarded at the national level. Another Tk 7.20 lakh will be awarded at the divisional level.
At the national level, each champion will receive Tk 2 lakh. The first runner-up will receive Tk 1.5 lakh, and the second runner-up will receive Tk 1 lakh.
At the divisional level, the first prize in each division will be Tk 20,000. The second prize will be Tk 15,000, and the third prize will be Tk 10,000.
A seven-day in-house training programme will be arranged in Dhaka before the national competition. It will be for 48 winners from the divisional level.
The next step will begin after the written results are published on October 10.
