NTRCA Institution Head Viva Exam Date Changed, New Date Announced

The Viva Examination for the recruitment of heads, assistant heads, principals, vice-principals, superintendents and assistant superintendents of private educational institutions has been postponed.

The examination was earlier scheduled to begin on October 1. However, the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has now decided to start the viva on October 15.

The information was disclosed in a notice signed by Mohammad Manzurul Hasan, director of the NTRCA, on Saturday, September 26.

According to the notice, the viva examination of candidates who passed the MCQ examination of the 8th NTRCA Recruitment (Institution Heads and Assistant Heads) Examination-2026 will begin on October 15 due to unavoidable circumstances.

The NTRCA said the revised schedule for the viva examination will be announced later.

Earlier viva schedule withdrawn

The NTRCA had announced the earlier viva schedule in a notice issued on September 16. At that time, the authority said the viva would begin on October 1.

The examination is part of the recruitment process for heads and assistant heads of private schools, colleges, madrasas and technical educational institutions.

The latest notice has effectively postponed the earlier schedule. Candidates will therefore have to follow the revised notice for details about their viva date and time.

Documents candidates need to bring

In its September 16 notice, the NTRCA had asked candidates who passed the MCQ examination to bring several documents to the viva examination.

Candidates were instructed to bring all certificates and transcripts or mark sheets supporting their educational qualifications. They were also asked to bring experience certificates according to the prescribed sample.

The required documents also include all joining letters and appointment letters. Candidates must also bring documents related to MPO enlistment and other MPO matters.

Training certificates must be submitted where applicable. Candidates are also required to bring their National Identity Card (NID) and the admit card used for the MCQ examination.

What should candidates do now?

Candidates who qualified for the viva should wait for the revised schedule from the NTRCA. They should also keep all required documents ready for submission or verification.

The NTRCA will announce the detailed viva examination schedule later. The revised schedule will determine the date and other details of the viva for eligible candidates.
