Students who earned Golden GPA-5 in the SSC 2026 Exam will get laptops. Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. Ehsanul Haque Milon announced the plan on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

The minister’s media cell shared the news in a status on Tuesday. The move aims to encourage students who achieved top results in the exams.

The status said an effort had been made to give laptops to Golden GPA-5 students. It said the aim was to encourage them in their studies.

The plan may also give students more access to digital learning. It is linked to wider goals for merit-based and technology-based education, according to the sources cited in the information.

Earlier on Tuesday, Dr. Milon spoke at a meeting marking Khulna University of Engineering & Technology Day. He was the chief guest at the event.

At the meeting, the minister said the Prime Minister was considering 116,000 tablets. He said the plan was meant to encourage students to study well.

Dr. Milon also spoke about girls in secondary schools. He said the country has around 19,000 secondary schools.

He said the Prime Minister would speak about giving girls a gift in every class. He named the proposed gift as the “Pinki Motorcycle”.

The minister said all these steps were aimed at encouraging education.

The latest laptop plan is focused on students who earned Golden GPA-5 this year. The announcement did not give details about how or when the laptops will be handed out.
