Top 10 Colleges Receive Highest Class XI Applications in 2026

The first-phase results for Class XI admission were published on Wednesday night, September 16. Data from the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board show which colleges received the most applications.

Government Ananda Mohan College received 32,678 applications for 981 seats. Adamjee Cantonment College followed with 32,640 applications for 2,379 seats.

Dhaka City College ranked third with 31,951 applications. The college has 4,280 seats for the admission process.

Government Bangla College received 30,718 applications for 1,450 seats. BAF Shaheen College Dhaka received 27,466 applications for 1,820 seats.

Rajshahi Government City College was next with 22,271 applications for 1,200 seats. RAJUK Uttara Model College received 21,126 applications for 1,820 seats.

Chattogram Government City College received 20,855 applications for 2,300 seats. Bir Shreshtha Noor Mohammad Public College received 20,656 applications for 1,880 seats.

Government Tolaram College completed the top 10 with 20,181 applications. The college has 1,950 seats.

Overall, 995,234 students applied for Class XI admission this year. Online applications opened on September 2 and closed at 8:00 p.m. on September 13.

Under the admission guidelines, each student could choose at least five and up to 10 colleges. In the first phase, 980,815 students were nominated for admission.

However, 2,205 students who achieved GPA-5 were not nominated for admission to any college in the first phase.

The application figures show strong demand for the listed colleges. The next admission steps will follow the published admission process.
