Vivo X Fold6 Global Launch

Vivo appears to be preparing the global launch of the Vivo X Fold6 after a global prototype was tested on Geekbench. The foldable phone carries model number V2559 and was tested earlier today on Geekbench 7.0.0 for Android.

The prototype scored 1,710 points in the single-core test and 5,977 points in the multi-core test. Since this is a prototype device, these benchmark results may not reflect the final retail performance.

The Geekbench listing also confirms an important detail about the global model. The vivo X Fold6 will use the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset, the same processor used in the Chinese version.

The tested prototype came with 12GB of RAM. However, vivo may offer other memory options when the phone reaches global markets.

Global model to run Android 17

The global vivo X Fold6 is expected to bring a notable software difference. While the Chinese model launched with Android 16, the global version will run Android 17 from the start.

vivo will also add its upcoming OriginOS 7 interface to the global model. This would make the X Fold6 one of the early vivo devices to launch with the new software version.

Vivo X Fold6 specifications

The Chinese version gives a clear idea of what the global model may offer. It features an 8.02-inch LTPO AMOLED foldable display with a 2312 × 2504 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The cover display measures 6.51 inches and also uses LTPO AMOLED technology. It has a 1120 × 2528 resolution and supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

The phone is available in China with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. Its camera setup includes a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera.

The periscope camera supports 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilisation. The phone also has a 20MP selfie camera and a 20MP camera on the cover display.

A 7,000mAh battery powers the device. It supports 80W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.

The Geekbench appearance suggests that the global launch could be getting closer. However, vivo has not provided an official global launch date in the information available here.

The benchmark also confirms the key hardware and software details of the tested global prototype. More information about availability, pricing and India-specific configurations will depend on vivo's official launch announcement.
