Want to Change Your Xi Class College? You Need to Apply by October 1

Students who are selected in the Xi Class Admission and want to change or confirm their first-phase application do not have much time. The cancellation deadline is 4:00 pm on October 1 for the 2026–27 academic year.

The rule applies to students who received final selection and completed confirmation in the first phase. They must visit the college section of their respective education board to cancel.

Students must bring their original registration card and admit card for the process. They can then apply in the second phase, which closes at 8:00 pm on October 1. Students seeking a change therefore have two separate deadlines to meet on October 1.

The instructions appeared in a revised notice and an urgent notice signed on Monday, September 28. Professor Dr. Syed Akhtaruzzaman, chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, signed both notices. He also chairs the Dhaka Education Board.

The second phase is open to students who did not apply in the first phase. Students who applied but received no college selection can also apply.

Those selected earlier who missed the deadline for confirmation or admission are also eligible. Students unable to enrol because their quota was wrongly determined will get another chance too.

Applicants who received no college selection in the first phase need not pay the Tk 220 application fee again. They must log in to the admission website and select or edit their college preference list.

Students must check whether they qualify for their chosen quota before submitting applications. They must also consider the number of seats still available at colleges.

Each applicant must list at least five colleges, with a maximum of 10 choices. These choices will also guide any later move to another college through migration.

The second-phase selection results will be published at 8:00 pm on October 5. Selected students must complete confirmation by 8:00 pm on October 8 to keep their selection.

Missing that deadline will lead to cancellation of both the selection and application. The schedule places confirmation before the final college admission stage.

Migration results will be published at 8:00 pm on October 9 for students who complete second-phase confirmation. Migration means moving to another college based on the order of an applicant’s choices.

Inter-Education Board sources said the revised dates aim to resolve problems caused by missed deadlines. Many students had failed to complete confirmation and admission within the earlier time limit.

Following confirmation and migration results, final admission will run from October 11 to October 13.
