DSHE cancels MPO approval for 9 teachers in two districts

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has ordered the cancellation of MPO approvals for nine teachers in Natore and Rajshahi.

DSHE issued the order in a letter dated September 29, 2026. The letter came from the Private College (Branch-3) section of DSHE.

The teachers received MPO approval in September 2026. DSHE said the approvals were granted by mistake.

According to the letter, the Director of the DSHE Rajshahi Regional Office made the mistake. The director had said that MPO approval was given to the nine teachers.

The regional office later sent a letter to the DSHE Directorate. It asked the directorate to cancel the approvals of the nine teachers.

Ministry directive cited by DSHE

DSHE referred to a Ministry of Education directive dated November 11, 2015. The directive concerned teacher recruitment at private institutions.

The directive ordered a halt to recruitment against vacant teacher posts. Paragraph 3 also set out a rule for recruitment notices issued after October 22, 2015.

Under that rule, an appointment made from such a notice was to be treated as illegal. This applied when a private institution published the notice on or after October 22, 2015.

DSHE said the rule applied to the nine teachers in this case. The directorate therefore decided to cancel their MPO approvals.

Names of the nine teachers

The nine teachers are Anwara Khatun, lecturer in Psychology, and Bubia Afroze, lecturer in Economics. Taslima Khanam, lecturer in Social Science, is also on the list.

The list also names Mosammat Tahera Khatun, lecturer in Management. Md. Nafi Imtiaz is listed as lecturer in Statistics.

Md. Saleh Uddin is a lecturer in Social Work. Farhana Akter is a lecturer in Accounting.

Saiful Islam is a lecturer in Marketing. Md. Aminul Islam is a lecturer in Physics.

The decision concerns the MPO approvals granted to the nine teachers in September 2026. The next steps will follow the decision stated in the DSHE letter.
