GST Admission 2026-2027 D Unit

The General, Science and Technology (GST) cluster will introduce a new Unit D for architecture admission in the 2026-2027 academic year. The admission tests for 20 universities will be held from March 19 to March 27.

For the first time, GST admission tests will be held in four units. Unit A will be for science, Unit B for humanities, Unit C for commerce, and Unit D for architecture.

According to the announced GST Admission Test schedule, the Unit B admission test will be held on March 19. The Unit C and Unit D tests will take place on March 20. The Unit A test will be held on March 27.

Why is Unit D being introduced?

Until the 2025-26 academic year, GST admission tests were held in three units. These were Units A, B and C.

The architecture admission test was previously held on the same day as the Unit A test. Students took the two tests in separate morning and afternoon sessions.

This system will change from the 2026-27 academic year. Architecture students will now take a separate admission test under Unit D.

Professor Dr. Golam Rabbani, co-convener of the main admission test committee for the 2026-27 academic year and vice-chancellor of Noakhali Science and Technology University, confirmed the change.

He told The Daily Campus that two universities in the cluster offer architecture as a subject. They are Pabna University of Science and Technology and Gopalganj University of Science and Technology.

When will the GST admission tests be held?

The admission tests will be held on four dates in March. The schedule separates the architecture test from the science admission test.

The announced schedule is:

  • March 19: Unit B — Humanities
  • March 20: Unit C — Commerce
  • March 20: Unit D — Architecture
  • March 27: Unit A — Science

The new arrangement means architecture applicants will have a separate test date and unit.

What was the previous system?

In the 2025-26 academic year, GST admission tests were conducted through three units. These were Units A, B and C.

The architecture admission test was held on the same day as the Unit A test. The two tests were conducted in morning and afternoon sessions.

Unit B and Unit C tests were held on separate dates.

The new four-unit system will therefore bring a separate admission process for architecture students from the 2026-27 academic year.

The GST admission tests are scheduled to begin on March 19 and end on March 27. Further admission details will follow according to the announced process.
