KUET Admission Test 2027 Set for January 8 in Three Cities

Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) will hold its first-year undergraduate admission test for the 2026–2027 academic session on January 8, 2027. The test will take place at centres in three divisional cities: Khulna, Dhaka and Rajshahi.

The decision was taken on Tuesday, August 25, at the 118th special meeting of KUET’s Academic Council. The meeting discussed several issues related to undergraduate student admissions.

According to university sources, the admission test will be held in MCQ format this year. KUET has also formed an admission test committee to organise the examination.

Holding the test in three cities is aimed at making the process easier for students from different parts of Bangladesh. Students will be able to choose comparatively closer centres, which may reduce travel and accommodation difficulties.

The move is particularly relevant for applicants who live far from Khulna. They will have the opportunity to take the test in Dhaka or Rajshahi if those centres are available to them under the final admission arrangements.

However, KUET has not yet announced the full admission details. Information about the application process, eligibility requirements, examination schedule, seat arrangements and other instructions will be published later through the university’s official admission notice.

KUET authorities hope the three-city arrangement will make participation more convenient for students. The university also expects the change to support a simpler and more organised admission process.
