Medical Admission Test 2026-2027 Date Initially Set for December 4

The MBBS admission test for the 2026-2027 academic year has been initially scheduled for December 4, according to the Directorate General of Health Education (DGME). The test will be held for government and private medical and dental colleges across Bangladesh.

However, the December 4 date will depend on when the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results are published. DGME Director General Professor Dr. Md. Nazmul Hossain confirmed the plan to the media on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

“We have initially finalized December 4 for the admission test. However, this will entirely depend on whether the HSC results are published on time,” he said.

According to the DGME chief, the HSC results may be published around the middle of October. If the results are released by the third week of October, the medical admission test 2026-2027 can be held on December 4.

The HSC results have been delayed because examinations ended late in some regions due to the flood situation. The delay may affect the schedule for the medical admission test.

Professor Nazmul Hossain said students will have about one month to apply for result re-scrutiny after the HSC results are published. If the results are not released by the third week of October, this process could create a technical problem for the admission schedule.

In that case, the medical admission test 2027 would be postponed by some time, he said.

The MBBS and BDS admission tests will be held on the same day, according to the DGME. Officials are also discussing several issues related to the exams, including the question paper and mark distribution.

These matters are expected to be finalized within the next one or two weeks. The final admission test date will depend on the HSC result publication timeline.
