Online System Planned for Teacher Transfers: Education Minister

An online system will be used for teacher transfers in the future. Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan confirmed this information.

He made the remarks at a press conference at the Secretariat on Monday, September 28. The press conference followed a meeting of the National Steering Committee for World Teachers’ Day 2026.

A journalist asked the minister about the teacher transfer process. In reply, he said questions had arisen over corruption in teacher transfers.

The minister said an online transfer system would be introduced to help control such issues.

“Questions have arisen regarding corruption in transfers. To control these issues, an online transfer system will be introduced in the future,” he said.

The minister also said an online transfer system is being introduced at the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA).

However, some issues linked to teacher transfers still need to be settled. These include cases involving teachers who need to be replaced.

The minister also mentioned teachers who are now on attachment. These cases also need to be resolved as part of the transfer process.

He further said NTRCA is working on the transfer files. However, he did not give a specific date for the wider launch of the online teacher transfer system.

The planned system is expected to bring the transfer process into an online system. It comes after concerns were raised about corruption in teacher transfers.

Further work will focus on the related teacher cases and transfer files, according to the minister’s remarks.
