Teacher Transfer Result to be published in October: DSHE

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) plans to publish transfer results for MPO-listed teachers in the first half of October 2026. The results could be published in the first week of October if the remaining issues are resolved quickly.

Professor Dr. Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel, director general of DSHE, shared the plan with The Sun. He said another meeting on teacher transfers would be held on Monday at 2 p.m.

The meeting will review several problems linked to the transfer process. A possible date for publishing the results may be set after those issues are discussed and resolved.

Meeting Held on Teacher Transfers

A meeting on the transfer of school and college teachers was held after 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Ministry of Education. Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan and relevant Teletalk officials attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed several issues related to teacher transfers. However, no final decision was made on the publication date of the results.

According to the DSHE director general, the next meeting will focus on the problems affecting the transfer process. The outcome of that meeting will help determine a possible timeline for the results.

Teachers May Get Chance to Edit Applications

The meeting also discussed whether teachers should be allowed to edit or cancel their transfer applications. The education minister expressed a positive view on giving this opportunity to applicants whose forms contain errors.

However, no final decision was made on the matter. Education Secretary Abdul Khaleque was absent from the meeting, which prevented a final decision on several issues.

A meeting official told The Daily Campus that the education minister was positive about allowing applicants to correct or cancel applications. The official spoke on condition of anonymity.

Vacant Posts Also Discussed

The meeting also considered problems involving vacant posts. It discussed 195 posts that had been replaced by the Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA).

The participants discussed these issues, but no final decision was reached. The matters are expected to be reviewed again at the next meeting.

Professor Dr. Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel said several issues may be decided at Monday's meeting. The timing of the teacher transfer results will depend on progress in resolving those issues.

For now, the DSHE plan is to publish the transfer results within the first half of October. If the problems are resolved quickly, the results may be released during the first week of October.
