Redmi Note 17 Pro Series Chipsets, 1000mAh Battery, IP69K Rating Revealed

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has confirmed key details about the Redmi Note 17 Pro series ahead of its India launch. The lineup will include the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.

The two smartphones will use different Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. Both models will also offer an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance.

Redmi Note 17 Pro, Pro Max Chipsets Confirmed

The Redmi Note 17 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. The company has confirmed that the processor will power the Indian version of the phone.

The higher-end Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC. Redmi revealed these details through the dedicated microsite for the upcoming smartphones.

The company has also revealed several durability features for both models. The Redmi Note 17 Pro series will come with an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Series Gets IP69K Rating

The IP69K rating highlights the phones’ protection against dust and water. Redmi has also confirmed TÜV SÜD 5-Star Titan Quality certification for the lineup.

Both smartphones will also feature Corning Gorilla Glass protection. These details add to the durability features confirmed by Redmi before the India launch.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will also get a special rear panel finish. Its Secret Sunshine colour option will use a photochromic, colour-changing material.

Up to 10,000mAh Battery Confirmed

Redmi has already confirmed that the Note 17 Pro series will offer a battery of up to 10,000mAh in India. The company claims the phones can deliver more than four days of battery life on a single charge.

The battery capacity will be one of the major highlights of the upcoming series. Redmi has not yet revealed all hardware details for the Indian models.

Both smartphones will feature a dual rear camera setup. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will also have a 50-megapixel primary rear camera.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Series Design

The Redmi Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max will follow the design of their global counterparts. Both phones will have a flat rear panel with a square-shaped camera module.

The camera module will be placed in the top-left corner of the rear panel. Both models will also feature a hole-punch cutout on the front display.

The cutout is expected to house the front camera for selfies and video calls.

Redmi Note 17 Pro India Launch Date

The Redmi Note 17 Pro series is scheduled to launch in India on September 15. The lineup has already launched in select global markets.
