The admission process for Class XI for the 2026–2027 academic year began on Sunday, September 20. Selected students must complete their admission by appearing in person at their assigned colleges. The admission process will continue until Tuesday, September 22.

The admission policy has set rules on the fees that colleges can collect from students. No institution can charge more than the amount approved by the education board.

Colleges must also collect all approved fees through proper receipts. Any violation of these rules during student admission may lead to serious action against the institution.

According to the policy, the teaching permission or recognition of a private college or similar institution may be cancelled for such violations. The Monthly Pay Order (MPO) status of the institution may also be cancelled.

For government colleges and similar institutions, action will be taken against the persons responsible, according to the relevant rules.

Admission Fees for MPO Colleges

The policy has set different admission fee limits based on the location of the college. For MPO-listed colleges in Dhaka metropolitan area, the maximum admission fee is Tk 5,000 for both Bangla and English versions.

In metropolitan areas outside Dhaka, the maximum fee is Tk 3,000. The limit is Tk 2,000 at the district level and Tk 1,500 in upazilas and rural areas.

Fees for Non-MPO Colleges

Different limits apply to non-MPO colleges. In Dhaka metropolitan area, these colleges may charge up to Tk 7,500 for the Bangla version and Tk 8,500 for the English version.

In metropolitan areas outside Dhaka, the limits are Tk 5,000 for the Bangla version and Tk 6,000 for the English version.

At the district level, the admission fee is set at Tk 3,000 for the Bangla version and Tk 2,500 for the English version. In upazilas and rural areas, the limits are Tk 2,500 for Bangla and Tk 3,000 for English.

The board will also collect Tk 15 for Rover/Ranger activities, Tk 16 for the Red Crescent and Tk 7 for science and technology. There is also a Tk 10 BNCC fee and Tk 100 for teacher welfare and retirement benefits.

Together, these board-approved fees total Tk 335.
